Spring is just around the corner- I can't wait to see the sun.........In Vancouver we get about 5 months of a grey sky, and frankly, it's getting old!!!!! Hopefully we'll be basking in the glow soon enough.

The first big news of this installment belongs to Eileen Higgins and her husband, Blake- they welcomed a baby girl into the world on March 1st. Congratulations on the new addition to their family, this is their 1st child! The Higgins 3rd single from their debut CD, "Second Hand Car" is already in the top 20 on CMT Canada's top 20- I hope this one will go to #1! Please vote for it at CMT, and check out the Higgins website to request Second Hand Car on the radio.

Just finished doing a 4 song EP with a fabulous new singer, AJ Woodworth. She'll be one to watch for, I have a feeling she's going to be a rising star in 2009. I'll upload a song or 2 once I get the ok, check back for some show dates this summer- you can check her out at her website, AJ Country

Tracked 6 songs for Carolyn Stewart's debut CD, it should be out soon. My good friend Craig Zurba is producing- should be great when it's done!

I recently added a TON of show dates through October. The summer shows have started to roll in, check back for more updates, as there is a lot of stuff that may come together for this year.

Nearly Neil is working on a new live CD with the Solitary Band, we're hoping to have it ready for the summertime. I'm cutting a few tracks on Shane Weibe's newest CD, also scheduled for release this summer.

Had an absolute blast playing with Tyler Summers at the Backstage Lounge in Feb. A big thank you to all of you that came out to see the show! MUCH appreciated!!!!

The 3rd single from the Higgins CD will be hitting the radio in February. The song is called "Second Hand Car", it's probably may favorite on the record, here's hoping it goes BIG! The video is being shot this week. There will also be some new music coming from them in 2009- stay tuned!

Sandra Volodoff will be staring a regular gig for the Gateway Casinos this month, have a look at the appearances section for upcoming show details.

I'm really stoked to be playing a show with my good friend, Tyler Summers at the Backstage Lounge Feb.11th. If you're not busy come down and check it out!

Working with Rachael Chatoor at the GCC casinos as well, always fun playing with her.

Some big news from Nearly Neil- in the fall of 2009, we start on the 1st leg of a 60 date US tour! Check back for dates, we're all looking really forward to seeing some new places, and meeting lots of new people, not to mention getting the opportunity to find THE best BBQ/Pizza/whatever in the US!

On the drum geek front, I have one last big announcemnt- I've officially switched the drums I play, I'm now playing YAMAHA drums. I hope to have pics of the new drums up soon. So far, I'm absolutely THRILLED with the new tubs, I really seem to have a connection to them, and that's always inspiring!

Happy Fall! Lotsa cool news this time around. To recap the past few months, In September the Higgins played some great shows at the CCMA's, and we got to open for the Road Hammers and Randy Travis! Speaking of the CCMA's. huge congratulations go to Eileen Higgns for WINNING the "special Instrument" award for her superb mandolin skills!

  We also cut a version of The First Noel for a Christmas compilation being released VERY soon. It's a really pretty arrangement, and the Higgins sound as wonderful as ever on it!

I got to play a really cool corporate show in Washington DC with WonderFunk!

In October, I got to tour around BC and Alberta with the Official Blues Brothers Revival, always great fun to work with those guys! The band was great, and I got to ham it up with a little acting bit off the top of the show.

Back in the summer, I recorded 4 songs for Los Angeles based singer Lisa Donahey at my old college roomate, Chris Gestrin's studio. Chris just recently finished mixing the songs, and they came out great! Lisa's got a really pure, real voice, and her music is really beautiful. Hopefully I'll be able to add some clips to the player soon!

OK, OK, it sounds like I'm gushing a little (lot). What can I say- I'm very lucky to be able to work with all these great folks!

More on the Higgins- they swept the BCCMA award show last week, winning 6 awards! Some very cool things happening for them, very proud of them.

In mid October I was working with Rachael Chatoor and the band was filmed for a segment of a new TV show coming to the W network called "Keeping it Real". Watch for it- we also played with Kelly Brock for that one!

Coming in November- some Higgins dates, and a really fun weekend November 21 and 22 at the brand spankin" new Grand Villa Casino in Burnaby. It's with an all-star band featuring Russell Marsland, Suzanne Gitzi, Brian Newcombe, Chris Gestrin and special guest Sue Leonard! Come on down and check that one out if you can- it's a brand new venue, it's beautiful, the show's FREE and the music will be great!

There we are- more to come....

August 24th, 2008 :: 5:10 pm

Here we go again with the huge gaps between updates....sorry, I've been super wicked busy!

I just updated the appearances section up to the end of the year, though I'm sure there will be lots of more stuff to add as time goes on.

The Nashville Showcase with Nearly Neil  for Live on Stage went really well, hoping for a lot of tour dates in the US in 2009/2010! We'll be taking some time off in Oct/Nov as Bobby is doing a tour of Australia (unfortunately, the band couldn't go along...sniff...) Here's hoping Bob and his lovely wife (and our manager) have a terrific time!

The Higgins are continuing to have great success across Canada- we've played a lot of shows this summer, and they're just getting better and better! The newest single, Real Thing just cracked the Canadian Top 40 on radio, and I expect the new video will be climbing the CMT charts soon! you can see that video HERE. We'll also be playing at the CCMA's this year, the group was nominated for "group of the year" and Eileen Higgins was nominated for "special instrumentalist of the year" for her awesome mandolin playing!

looking forward to fall, there will be another Blues Brothers Revival tour throughout Alberta and BC- that will likely be a great time, and if you like the Blues Brothers, SEE THIS SHOW!!! You WON'T be disappointed!!!!

There are some new Rachael Chatoor dates listed, lots of fun working with her!

And, rounding out the year, We've got some Shagadelic Swingers Christmas parties, and Nearly Neil will ring in 2009 at the Pentiction Lakeside Resort.

So have a safe and happy fall, and please drop me a line if you wanna say hi, come to a show or if you want to share your best Enchilada recipe!

Jeez, it's been a LONG time since I've updated the site....... FINALLY had a moment to sit down and get some updates in.

Had a blast with the Blues Brothers Revival- Wayne (Jake Blues) amd Kieron (Elwood Blues) are amazing! If you like the Blues Brothers, find these two and GO SEE THEIR SHOW! you won't be sorry! There is potentially some more shows with them in BC coming in October, I'll have that updated when I know.

The Higgins have been on quite a roll since signing with Open Road.  The 1st single, Flower Child is currently the #4 video in Canada on CMT, and the song is #18 on the radio nationwide. Look for the album to be released  June 24th, we've got a lot of shows coming up this summer all over the place! the 2nd single will also be released shortly- listen for it and request it often (pretty please?)

Speaking of all over the place, check out the appearances section to see some crazy scheduling- for example, August 1-3 has me in Nashville, Kleinburg Ontario and then Camrose Alberta!!!! THAT'S 3 DAYS, PEOPLE!!!

The date in Nashville is a showcase for Nearly Neil to help us break into the US Theatre market- should be fun!!

Well, there ya go- more soon! Check back for more dates!

Here we go- the big news I've been waiting to share... The Higgins have just recently become Open Road/Universal Music Recording Artists! You can read about it HERE The video for the first single "Flower Child" (which you can listen to if you launch the audio player on this site, located in the upper left portion of this page)  debuted this week on Canada's country TV station, CMT. The single will be released to radio next week, so phone/e-mail your requests into your local country stations like JRFM and Country 107.1 often- We'll also be hitting the road this summer, so keep an eye on the appearances page- they're really worth checking out, even if you aren't into country music!

Febuary 3rd, 2008 :: 10:07pm
Well, I guess it's a little late to say happy New Year, better to say "Gung Hey Fat Choi" as we're certainly closer to the Chinese New Year at this point! Well- what's been happening? Same 'ol stuff, but some new stuff as well.

We had a great holiday season, had a wonderful New Year's gig with Nearly Neil at the Terminal City Club in Vancouver.

 January brought the last 3 shows with Che Dorval for a while, she's moving to Montreal after spending a few months in the Yukon in a cabin in the woods to focus on writing some new material- I'm NOT kidding! She really is!

We did a couple of casino shows with Kelly Brock, that was fun- you'll see her doing shows around town with her original country material in the coming months- check the appearances page to see when and where.

I just cut 3 more songs for the Higgins- I don't wanna say too much yet, but they've just signed a a deal, so there will be LOTS of big news from them in the following weeks. The new material is KILLER!!! All I'm saying is.... Keep watching CMT and you'll be seeing them soon!

Happy Holidays- This is the time of year where we will all gather around the Festivus pole and air out our grievances. Of course, if Festivus isn't your particular holiday of choice, have a safe and happy holiday of your choosing!

 The Radomsky family Christmas photo is now complete- for those that don't know, we do a pretty silly card each year, usually themed with some tacky fashion taste. For example- last year's card was a tribute to 1987. This year- THE NIFTY FIFTIES!!!!!! I'll post the photos soon- worth seeing, I think!

Gig wise, not super busy this month, which is nice to have time to get all the Christmas stuff done. There's some VERY exciting news coming in the new year, I hope to be able to make an announcement soon.

October 3, 2007 :: 8:24am
So, we are finally up and running! BIG thanks to my web guru, Mr. Brendan McLean for his brilliant input. Here you'll find all kinds of useless information pertaining to myself. I'll try to update this often with photos and show info, and any interesting stuff that might interest you!

Last week I had a really exciting day. I got to play at the Yamaha Drums YAMAJAM '07 show to help them celebrate their 40 years of building drums. I got to play with Vancouver's finest show band, SoulStream, and it was a blast! The show featured 2 of the most recorded drummers in recent history—JR Robinson and Ndugu Chancellor! Also on the bill were some great local players; Randall Stoll (SoulStream's great drummer), he's worked with EVERBODY in the Canadian music scene, from KD Lang to Tom Cochrane to a bazillion other groups; local player and educator Mike Michalkow laid down some greasy funk; and newcomer Shadika (not sure of the spelling, I'll let you know!) played some cool grooves. Unfortunately, I had to miss the big finish of the show, as I had to get to a rehearsal/show that evening with Kelly Brock. All I can say is Kelly ROCKS! We had a great time, and we'll hopefully be playing again soon—I'll keep you posted!

October is looking to be a pretty fun month, I'll be in Calgary twice doing a few corporate shows with a couple different groups. The second such show will be with the fabulous RnB Icons show which is a tribute to the greats of Motown. Check them out at mooncoinproductions.com. Another interesting show will be on October 30th, when you can see the fabulous Suzzanne Gitzi, Russell Marsland, Chris Gestrin, Lee Oliphant, and myself playing at Lulu's Lounge following the Heart show at the River Rock show theatre- should be a great night for music! Coming early November, I'll be playing with a hot new country artist out of Nashville named Willie Mack for a show at Cactus Jack's saloon in Kamloops Check back often for updates and news—I can't say anything yet, but there may be some VERY cool news coming soon... Until then, stay tuned!
